GALVANET®: doubled barrel opening and new closing lid

Everyone knows it from everyday life: whether it's rice, potting compost, peppercorns, coffee powder or similar bulk goods - when filling or emptying, it's a big advantage if the container has a large opening so that nothing spills out and you can easily see that nothing is left behind.

Richard Tscherwitschke GmbH has further developed the GALVANET®-barrel according to this principle. The standard version of this compact barrel with a width accross flats of 180 mm has a comparatively small opening area, which corresponds to one side of the hexagonal barrel body. The optimisation concept now doubles the opening to two sides. At the same time, the corresponding barrel lid has been redesigned so that it continues to fit seamlessly into the hexagonal geometry without changing the barrel volume - an essential prerequisite for the optimum mixing of the workpieces. A flat, one-piece lid was therefore out of the question.

Instead, the design team developed an innovative lid that fits snugly onto the barrel body and can be securely closed. New twist locks ensure a high contact pressure that prevents goods from being trapped between the lid and the barrel body.
